My piece represents the tragic loss of the Yangtze River Dolphin or Baiji. It was inspired by the legend of the Goddess of the Yangtze River, the story of a young girl drowned in the river who became a Baiji. In my painting I show the two parts of the Goddess of the River, the girl and her new identity; I also see the subject of the painting as a harmonious encounter between two characters. I want to get the message across that when we lose a species to extinction we don’t just lose an animal in the biosphere we lose a part of our heritage, mythology and ultimately ourselves.　[Hide]

But still there is a Way to Exit. Inspired by the Song 'Zager and Evans - In the Year 2525' and 'Nine Inch Nails - Right where it belongs' and Movies like 'Planet of the Apes'. Endangered Totem 3d sculpture The concept was to create a 3d sculpture Tribute Artwork focusing on the endangered species.I started the process in Zbrush using a cylinder 3d Primitive and the default sculpting brushes with references of the animals i was sculpting.Once the sculpt was done, i rendered different views in zbrush and one main view in Modo then composited the renders in Photoshop.
