These are some thumbnails I am starting with. I am still not sure what to go for; just tossing images around. I think I might do a couple more before I commit.

Narrowed down my choices to these two compositions. The other two I had done did not feel very compelling. My thought is that having some sense of narrative in the work takes it away from being just a pretty picture and gives it real meaning. I am thinking these could be either for the "prey and predator" or "motherly love" categories (probably the latter).

WIP

So I chose to go with this composition. I wanted to focus on the tension created by the prey/predator relationship combined with the sense of motherly protection. The bear cub finds himself as an imminent prey to a Siberian tiger who has noticed it seemingly defenseless and alone, ignoring, however, the presence of the cub's mother now quickly approaching behind...

Corrected the tiger's anatomy and changed the positioning of the tail, as well as making corrections in general.
