Here we'd like to show our thanks to Sophia for here support to SOP competition as well as the protection of wildlife. Should you have any interesting story about the protection of wildlife, please don't hesitate to share it with us.

1. The Gryphon of the Green Valley

Sophia:
"The picture has been done in Photoshop using different brushes for fur, feathers and skin. The Gryphon was designed for the San Diego Zoo in California in collaboration with M&C Saatchi and Aliceblue ad. agencies. I’ve done some sketches of what I had in mind first, regarding the character design. I had a lot of work on the feathers and fur details..
I have integrated peacock feathers to bring a bit of originality to the « bird » part and used as reference a crocodile texture for the front legs.”

2. Pure

Sophia:
"For this picture I used also Photoshop.
The creature was designed for the San Diego Zoo in California (in collaboration with M&C Saatchi and Aliceblue, ad.agencies). I had to do some light adjustment during compositing in order to find the right balance between the character and the luminosity coming from behind the background. "
